Blue Heron

One day a beautiful blue heron stood on a log in a small stream waiting for its next meal, and I was there to observe it and I though life is beautiful if you just take time to enjoy it.

The dark blue is sodalite and the light blue is quartz. The white feathers are shards of alabaster overlap onto white petrified wood. The grains in the petrified wood flow into the alabaster shards. The inner mat is yellow heart wood.
